Daisy Abey was born in Sri Lanka and now lives in England where she divides her time between London and Leeds. She is a bilingual poet in English and Sinhala.

Her novel, LIKE THE WIND, was placed among the first ten of the Shorelines 2001 Competition.

Her work appears in the EMLIT Project 2003 edited by Paula Burnett, an anthology of literatures in nineteen European minority languages translated into English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
